| The New Prague Area Historical Society sponsors two events each year. In the fall, NPAHS has a food booth on Main Street during New Prague's Dozinky Festival. A new event this year is a book sale that was sponsored New Prague Library on the same weekend. The sale includes the historical society's publications as well as books that the historical societies has received as donations but which do not meet the foals of the historical society, as well as books in Minnesota history. |

Another event is the Christmas Concert, which features local musicians. The concert will be held on December 1st at 7:00 p.m. at the New Prague Ballroom. Some of the musical groups are: The New Prague community Band, Directed by Sandy Galhager, The Hymnists, directed by Brian Carson, and The Bells of St. John, directed by Kathy Heyda. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there! The Historical Society will have a both there. Selling various items produced by our organization. This would be an opportune time to get started on your Christmas Shopping. See the marketplace link for more NPAHS merchandise available. (Reminder: Historical Society members do receive a 10% discount)
A special event coming up is the city's sesquicentennial in 2006. New Prague was settled in 1856 and the historical society will sponsor a number of events to commemorate the city's past.
